Hello I have a question.I am a licensed daycare provider in Michigan I have 4 children in my care presently.I have a 10 month that will not stop bitting! I have followed procedure gave the parents paperwork on what to do.They have even went to thier doctor but the child keeps bitting the same child. What do I do? do I have to let this child go? should I let the child go? HELP...

I have a child that will turn two this week and he has been biting since he was 10 months old. He is still nonverbal and has an anger problem. They get frustrated when they can't verbalize what is making them so angry, when the child learns to talk it will improve. The only thing you can do is shadow that child, can you see what is causing them to bite? If it is consistently that same child, make sure there isn't an opportunity for it to happen. Move the victim so they aren't together. If they were older I would tell you to put a popsicle on the victims "owie" so the biter sees they are getting the attention and the treat an it helps alot. Y
