Hi,

I was just wondering how it works for Christmas Holidays.  I am closed for Christmas Day and New Years day - should I not get paid for those days?

Hi cece - you might be able to get paid for your holidays, since you're open those weeks and just taking Thursday off.  Maybe charge your normal weekly rate for the New Years week, and give a 1/2 daay "Xmas Present" discount for Christmas week.  So you'll still get paid for new years and paid 1/2 day for Christmas.  I would justify this by comparing yourself to people who get paid holidays from their employers.  Why shouldn't you also get a paid holiday, like everyone else?

Hope this helps,
kris
