Daycare License Requirements for Oklahoma



Worker Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old and have a HS diploma or GED or be in the process of receiving a GED for a period not to exceed 12 months.

Age Range Ratio For Daycare Centers
0 – 9 months (1:4) [maximum group size - 8]
10 – 23 months (1:6) [maximum group size - 12]
2 years (1:8) [maximum group size - 16]
3 years (1:12) [maximum group size - 24]
4 and 5 years (1:15) [maximum group size - 30]
6 years and over (1:20) [maximum group size - 40]

 

Age Range Ratio For Family Child Care
Provider may care for:1) Maximum of 7 children (the number includes the provider’s own children under 5 years of age) and not more than 2 children under age 2 years.2) Maximum number of 6 children with 3 under age 2.3) Maximum number of 5 children with 4 or 5 under the age of 2 years.
