Worker requirements

Must be at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or GED.

Age Range Ratio For Daycare Centers
Infants (1:4)
Toddlers (under 2 years old) (1:4)
2 years (1:7)
3 years (1:12)
4 years (1:15)
5 years (1:20)

 

Age Range Ratio For Family Child Care
Infants (1:3)
All ages (1:6)[of which no more than 2 children may be less than 2 years old; if all children are 2 and older, then 6 children plus 2 school age children may be cared for, but if one child is under age 2, then 6 children plus 1 school age child may be cared for][all ratios include the caregiver's own children under age 6 and those who have not completed kindergarten]
