Worker requirements

Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school education or certified equivalent. Must be able to read and write.

Age Range Ratio For Daycare Centers
0 – 2 years (1:4)
2 – 3 years (1:8)
3 – 4 years (1:10)
4 – 5 years (1:12)
5 – 6 years (1:15)
School age (1:16)

 

Age Range Ratio For Family Child Care
All ages (1:6)[including provider's own children whether related by blood, marriage or adoption, who live in the home and are under the age of 6; no more than 2 under the age of 24 months allowed at any time]
